An Seomra Spraoi means “The Playroom” in Irish – a name that reflects both my love of the Irish language and the place of play at the heart of my work.
The logo draws inspiration from Irish nature and Celtic design. At its centre is a triquetra, an interwoven knot chosen to represent connection, balance and the relationship between mind, body and spirit.
Four leaves bring their own meaning to the design:
- Oak represents strength and grounding.
- Hazel represents wisdom and inspiration.
- Ash represents growth and connection.
- Hawthorn represents protection and healing.
Together, these elements reflect the values I hope children experience at An Seomra Spraoi: safety, connection and space to grow. They also echo my holistic approach – seeing each child as a whole person, with their own feelings, experiences, relationships and strengths.
Space to be. Time to play. Room to grow.
